An Ultimate Summit Experience
Kick off the 2025 SBDC Summit with two free pre-summit workshops on Thursday, February 27 (9 AM – 12 PM), covering AI in healthcare and business innovation.
Then, on Friday, February 28 (8 AM – 5 PM), dive into a full day of insights and networking at the SBDC Summit, where industry leaders discuss AI, healthcare, and business.
Wrap up with a networking reception on Saturday, March 1, at Serrano’s Mexican Grill (10 AM – 2 PM). Celebrate Fur Rondy and the 53rd Iditarod kickoff with great company, a taco bar, and a live race stream.

What is the Summit Reception?
SBDC Summit attendees are invited to the Summit Reception on Saturday, March 1, 2025, at Serrano’s Mexican Grill in downtown Anchorage (525 W 4th Avenue) from 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM.
Close out the Summit with a unique networking event, timed to celebrate Fur Rondy and the ceremonial start of the 53rd Iditarod! Warm up, enjoy a taco bar, and connect with fellow attendees, speakers, and industry leaders in a laid-back atmosphere—complete with a live stream of the race kick-off.
What should I know about Fur Rondy?
Fur Rendezvous, or “Rondy,” is a winter festival with a significant place in Anchorage’s history. Established in the mid-1930s by Vern Johnson and friends to coincide with the town’s mining and trapping season, the festival began as a three-day sports tournament featuring skiing, hockey, and a children’s sled dog race. Can I attend the Iditarod Ceremonial Start?
Yes! The Ceremonial Start is on Saturday, March 1, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. Festivities begin at 10 a.m. in Downtown Anchorage at the corner of 4th and D Street. Summit attendees are invited to our Summit Reception to warm up and celebrate at Serranos Mexican Grill!
The Iditarod is an annual sled dog race covering 1,000+ miles of challenging terrain. It is named after the Iditarod Trail, a historic dogsled route used during the 1925 vaccine run to Nome. Learn more here!
What can I expect for parking?
A parking lot is directly across the street from the Marriott Anchorage Downtown (to the north of the hotel).
EasyPark Alaska: Parking meters must be paid Monday through Friday, 9 am to 6 pm. Rates: 2-hour meter $1.75 per hour; 10-hour meter $1.25 per hour; handicap meter—different rates apply. If you want a receipt for a transaction at a street meter, click here.
What type of weather can I expect in Anchorage?
